A top-end refresh, or the whole engine out on the bench. I work to the manual rather than to a guess: torque figures, new gaskets and seals, and your old parts come back to you in a box so you can see exactly what was changed. You are welcome to stand next to the bike the whole time.
ENGINE REBUILDS
- Top end - pistons, rings and valve work.
- Bottom end - cranks, bearings, clutches and gearboxes.
- Engine out - when the job needs it, on any make.
- Assembly - new gaskets and seals, torque figures, nothing rushed.
How it goes
01You bring it in
I listen to the engine and check compression before I say anything about money.
02I quote
You get the number before I open the engine. If I find more inside, you get a phone call, not a bigger bill.
03You collect it
With the old parts in a box and a warranty on the work.
What sets the price
An engine job comes down to what is worn inside and what the parts cost. I look first, then quote, and that number holds.
